The National Order of the Ivory Coast was presented to The Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, ruler of Qatar from 1995-2013, in recognition of his efforts in developing international relations. The medallion is cross shaped, with white handles surrounded by a red border. The circle in the middle of the cross is gold with a green border, embossed with an elephant that is surrounded by a wreath. The green border is inscribed with the words "Republique De Cote D'Ivoire".
