This sword belonged to the late Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani, ruler of Qatar from 1913 to 1949. The blade is made of Damascus steel and the handle is made of ivory. The sheath consists of gold and black leather, decorated with geometric motifs, emeralds and other precious stones. The tassel is made of gilded silk threads.
